Online Round Table Conference About Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language
An Online Round Table Conference About Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language was held on Wednesday 10th June 2026 at Video Conference Rumi Block NUML with the collaboration of the Institute of Foreign Languages USPU Russia & Department of Spanish Language NUML Pakistan. Faculty members teaching Spanish from both universities sat together to discuss different aspects of Spanish as a Foreign Language including current status of Spanish, problems faced by Pakistani and Russian students in learning Spanish, Spanish taught in classes versus colloquial version, influence of social media on Spanish, teaching of intercultural competence in Spanish classrooms and role of Spanish as a cultural bridge. This event provided an opportunity to share valuable insights, practical experiences, and thoughtful reflections on the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language. This exchange of ideas between two universities enriched the understanding of all participants and provided inspiration for future work.
